Aldwin, your group's focus on measuring the academic success of a Flipped classroom model is extremely relevant to education today. So often the field of education has ventured into instructional practices that have not been beneficial to positive student outcomes. This is an example of why having valid scientific research of educational practices is essential for good teaching. Believing that an instructional practice may be beneficial to students is far different than having the backing of scientific research that proves a particular strategy or method as effective. I suspect that the Flipped Classroom may prove to have a large effect size as it incorporates strategies that have already been proven to have a positive effect on student achievement, the main focus being Student Centered Teacher as confirmed by John Hattie in his study of educational research and the effect size of instructional strategies and related aspects of teaching.
